🟣 Using 'to be' for feelings
Règle :
We use 'to be' to express feelings or states. For example, 'I am happy' shows how someone feels.
- I am tired today.
- She is excited about the trip.
- They are friends.
- I am happy. → I am happy to see you.
- He are tired. → He is tired.
🟣 Using 'to have' for possession
Règle :
We use 'to have' to show possession. For example, 'I have a car' means I own a car.
- I have a dog.
- She has a new book.
- They have a lot of friends.
- I has a bike. → I have a bike.
- She have a cat. → She has a cat.
🟣 Using 'to do' for actions
Règle :
We use 'to do' to talk about actions. For example, 'I do my homework' means I complete my homework.
- I do my work every day.
- She does her exercises in the morning.
- They do not like spicy food.
- He do his homework. → He does his homework.
- I does not like coffee. → I do not like coffee.
🟣 Using 'to be', 'to have', and 'to do' together
Règle :
We can use 'to be', 'to have', and 'to do' in the same conversation. For example, 'I am happy because I have a new bike and I do not have to walk.'
